Vic: Alleged Mokbel hide-out pair in court

The couple accused of giving drug smuggler and accused murderer TONY MOKBEL a safe
haven on their property outside Melbourne will face charges in court next February.

YOUSEFF ZEIDAN .. who's 62 .. and his 55-year-old wife EVETTE are alleged to have hidden
MOKBEL from police for three days at their Elphinstone property in October 2006.

MOKBEL was eventually driven to Western Australia and sailed to Greece .. where he
was arrested in June 2007 and extradited back to Australia.

The couple appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court today .. where they had bail extended
until February 19.

They'll face charges including perverting the course of public justice.

MOKBEL was found guilty on the drug charges he faced when he fled the country .. and
is now behind bars at Barwon Prison .. south-west of Melbourne.
